The British Abroad

Earlier this year, Reportage photographer Peter Dench received a grant from the Photoreporter Festival in France to shoot a new project about the British abroad. His journey took him to Ayia Napa, Cyprus; Sunny Beach, Bulgaria; San Antonio, Ibiza and Magaluf, Majorca, in search of the thirsty Brit overseas.

The resulting work will premiere at the 2nd Photoreporter Festival in Saint-Brieuc Bay, France, beginning on October 19th. Visit the festival’s Web site for more information.

Peter Dench, born in England in 1972, is a keen observer of human nature, particularly the quirkier aspects of life. His colorful style has won him a large roster of international clients and accolades from the World Press Photo Awards and other institutions.

East Coast Gazette has a terrible editorial focus and tends to use a lot of ALL CAPS but TOTALLY NOT BECAUSE OF HARRY POTTER. Stories in progress as well as snapshots will be listed in the "box full of snapshots" below, website archive for stories and assorted tomfoolery is glitterati.
